British English Spoken Test (BEST)

British Spoken English Test (Best) is an Online test accessed through The British Institutes' BI-Online platform which is a certified and secured platform. BEST tests includes grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening language skills. BEST starts with elementary level questions and then progresses to more demanding tasks, which makes the test an adaptive test. The Test has four parameters i.e. a) Reading; b) Listening; c) Vocabulary and d) Grammar. (Exception: Personality Development which has the parameters of Reading, Vocabulary and Grammar) Every parameter has its designated scores and a total of 50 mins to complete the whole exam. The students get a Candidate Report Card on the above mentioned four parameters which are based on the international CEFR methodology questions .

Test Taking Procedure

Although the test is online, the student has to undergo an Oral assessment conducted by The British Institutes Faculty Member as per guidelines of The British Institutes - English Language Department . The process followed for the test is as below: -
  • Students will subscribe for BEST (British English Spoken Test) at the www.online. thebritishinstitutes.com
  • The British Institutes Online Class Team will validate the student's subscription and check the Level of the students to appear for the appropriate level of BEST Assessment .
  • Once the verification of the student is done,we will activate the students’ ID for BEST test. (Please note by default a student gets a demo test activated before the final test on their student ID)
  • After successful completion of the test, the Oral Assessment will be conducted by The British Institutes faculties.
  • Once the Oral Assessment is done and the student qualifies to receive the grades , the Certificate along with Assessment Report will be generated within 7 working days from the date of the exam taken which can be downloaded from the student’s BI-Online Log in panel.
